I was using my PB165 for the THINK C study group, and of course the spinner died. I have a bunch of other PB1xx's with dead drives as well, I figured I should do something about it. Wanting to do a ground-up build myself (instead of buying a bunch of kits), I settled on printing @Androda's V3 board as I didn't want to fuss with the pure SMD approach to the V4 board. My only concern was finding UCC5606DP's, but eBay delivered.
I just wanted to confirm that this version of the board works nicely with the 165, with the Logic Power and Short Cable termination jumpers.
I'll be installing this version in the other PowerBooks, and will update on their compatibility.
