Any SCSI to Ethernet solutions on the horizon?

Hey all,

I know there's solutions from Dayna & others from 30 years ago, but I wonder if there's any contemporary SCSI to Ethernet solution available or in the planning?

Or does anyone know what happened to Ronan Gaillard and his SCSI2Ethernet board? Any plans to make them available "for the rest of us"? The link on his page just leads to 68kmla forum home, but no specific thread. (maybe I have to register?)

My IIci really wants to network and get online ... ;-)

If you have a IIci you can get a NuBUS ethernet card for pretty cheap on ebay ($30 ish) or maybe post in the trade form and someone may have one laying around.

RaSCSI has working ethernet over SCSI.

I havent seen any activity on Ronan's project for about a year.

@eric - I actually went the used card route before but couldn't get it to work (see here).

Too bad there's no activity on Ronan's project - sounded very nice. I guess I'll take a good look at RaSCSI!

Being a happy user of RASCSI for both HD and Ethernet emulation, I can only but to strongly recommend it

I second the mention of the RaSCSI. The ethernet over SCSI functionality works wonders! I made a video about it here:

Please note, that my video was made while things were still a bit in development and experimental. A lot has changed to improve the ease of enabling this, so check the latest instructions on their website and you'll have a far easier time than me.

I put one together last year, and its a cool little device. I personally struggled with getting mine assembled/working properly, but I believe they've done some improvements in that area. There's also a branch that includes DaynaPort capabilities (if you're not a fan of the Nuvolink).

Hi All,

First of all, as it’s my first post on this new platform, please allow me to share how glad I am to join this new adventure.

About the rascsi, has anyone tried it on a Mac Portable? I currently use a SCSI2SD card and it works fairly OK, but waking up from sleep is always crashing the system.

Anyhow, I’m more interested in the networking feature, I’m considering investigating fitting everything inside the Portable case for the ultimate integrated storage plus networking solution.
