Apple IIc TEARDOWN & MacEffects Clear Case REVIEW [VIDEO]

Making this video was a learning experience. Despite asking many people for advice and watching YouTube videos on the subject, I still had trouble with the Speaker install, but ultimately I got it locked-in with hot glue.

I love using IIc Drop-to-Open technique that Javier Rivera taught me. It's fast and easy. Javier said the late great Tony Diaz taught it to him. Jonathan Adar and of course Mark Jozaitis provided me with very helpful advice too.

I hope this very makes it "clear" why the MacEffects case is rather unique, but at the very least it shows how to do a a complete teardown of the machine, including the opening of the power converter and removal of the floppy drive cage.

I assume you mean your MacEffects Clear Case. Please be sure to report back on how well it goes for you.

You are correct, I should have been more specific! Man, after watching your struggles with the speaker I'm a bit wary now to be honest. I think I may try and give the donor case and the replacement clear case some time in the hottest part of the house for a while before I give it a shot.
