I have an ANS700/150 that I've had sitting in my basement for 25 years. recently tried to start it up, and it won't boot past the 0> screen. when it starts up, it goes into the open firmware prompt with the message "disk2: aix can't OPEN: /bandit/53c825@ 11 /sd@2,0". so, looks like a problem with one of the raid disks. but when I try to boot from a CD, I get something similar "fd:diags PARTITION is not a number can't open: /bandit/gc/swin3:diagsOpenFirmware 1.1.22". I have a new battery on order, but wondering if anyone has seen this. Thanks!

The default boot-device is disk2:aix
disk2 is a devalias for /bandit/53c825@11/sd@2,0

The default diag-device is cd fd:diags which I guess is a list of devices? I'm not sure how to interpret this because cd is not a devalias. It appears that cd is a special device that initiates a search for a cd device using find-system-cd?.
The result of find-system-cd? can be viewed with get-system-cd type

fd is a devalias for /bandit/gc/swim3
It appears that something is trying to interpret :diags as a partition number?

One can manually enter the command boot fd:diags at the Open Firmware prompt to use the Network Server Diagnostic Utility from the utility disk inserted in the floppy drive.

Please use photos so we can see the exact message strings. Or connect to Open Firmware using the modem port so that the text from Open Firmware can be copied and pasted.
