I went to write this yesterday, but my site had developed an issue and I ended up updating software, resizing images and fixing some issues before I got around to it.... but anyway, I thought I'd over explain things to any one starting out that cared enough to read way too much text. Hopefully I can encourage at least one new person to consider using Compact Pro to create archives. A cool thing is that if you strip the resources from a Compact Pro SEA, it still works as a normal Compact Pro archive!I always preferred it to Stuffit. Stuffit version mismatches are annoying, and more than a few times, I've downloaded a .sit meant for a 68000 machine, that could only be opened on a 68030+.
Then there are the .sit archives I open with Stuffit that do nothing. No error or explanation. Just nothing.
