Battery damage on SE/30 - Thoughts?

Hey guys, I just picked up this SE/30 but once I noticed corrosion, I decided to pull the logic board rather than trying to power It up.

I have brought back some 386 and 486 boards with vinegar, a glass pencil, and some trace repair, but this is all SMD and I wonder what your thoughts are on this. Even that ROMSIMM slot has a lot of corrosion. And it somehow made its way on to the back was well. Almost looks like the thing was sitting at an angle and it ran downhill.

I'm going to start with vinegar and go from there, but if you have worked on these, please let me know what your prognosis is.

Pics show two different angles of the same area on the top, and one of that area on the bottom.

Yikes - the RTC chip looks like it's been eaten away :(

It may be a good candidate for an SE/30 Reloaded build - i have a spare RTC chip i could send you, if you wanted to go down that route, but i definitely think it's the best course of action.

Thanks, Kai. Man, your work is amazing! An SE reloaded would be a challenge for me, but an SE/30 reloaded would be at a whole nother level with all that surface mount work!

Below is a picture after a quick vinegar clean up. I think the RTC is okay and a lot of the black stuff is just goo from rotted battery material. The traces right under the battery that look white concerned me. And that SIMM slot is a mess.

I will probably dig into this a bit and see if I can tone out some traces and vias. Regardless of which route I go, I will need to invest in a digital microscope I think. I had to put my phone on full zoom to be able to really see these traces.

The good thing about the SE/30 Reloaded from @Bolle is that the Pick & Place and BOM are available on GitHub for you to be able to have JLCPCB pre-populate the rear of the board with the fiddly parts, leaving you to do the rest on the top, which are considerably larger.
