Battery holder for earlier Macintosh

Hello,
I got a 512K that is in pretty good shape, except for the battery holder, which has one contact gone due to corrosion.

I guess this battery holder is not easy at all to find, but does anyone of you know about a practical approach to restore it, or to retrofit another solution?

Can you share pictures of that battery holder on the analog board and the corroded metal contacts?

One thought I had was to clean up with 91% or 99% IPA using cotton swabs.

Here you go... Half of the contact is gone, I didn't clean yet the remaining part

Hey, I had another thought: take the battery box off the analog board to clean the contacts or install new metal contacts. The plastic battery housing is connected to the analog board by plastic and solders. So, desoldering, taking off, and then putting back o and soldering seems easy.

I wonder what others have in mind.

So, I did look around, and it seems that part was hard to find. But, I wondered if a duplicate housing could be 3D printed and use modern battery clips that can solder to the analog board at those points?

So, why didn't someone already have a guide for battery holder replacement for the 128k, 512k, and Plus?! This is frustrating!

Hi. I think I'll go for a simpler solution... as this is the negative contact of the battery, I'll try to adapt one of these contacts with spring... If I get connectivity, I'd be happy enough.

Yeah, that can work. The solid wide metal contact is more secure, I think. Yet, the springs work.

@JDW, have you ever seen a replacement battery housing for the 128k, 512k, and Plus? I can find doors and batteries, but not the housing. Hmmm.
