Welcome to TinkerDifferent!

Thank you so much for signing up to be involved in our Forum - a space for the people, by the people!

We've started this to be a welcoming space for not just vintage mac enthusiasts, but for a whole host of other platforms, too.

Just so you're aware, we're still writing our 'charter' documentation, but ostensibly, while we've got admins and moderators - NONE OF US are above the law - it's not a case of 'one rule for thee, and a separate for me'.

Key Points
  • We are a fully democratic forum
  • We hold votes on features and implementation of policy
  • We relish user feedback to make us better
  • We will NEVER get bent out of shape if you come to us with a problem.
  • We will ALWAYS listen to you and your concerns
  • We will NEVER be dismissive.
  • We would like you to get stuck into the forum from the get go, let us know if there are any bugs, odd quirks, suggestions to make things better!
Post threads, get involved - none of the contribution here will disappear - only this thread will, once we're ready to go fully live :)

Most Importantly - WELCOME! :geek:

This is a nice sentiment but just wanted to say IMO it's okay for you all as an admin team to make tough decisions that might make some or many users unhappy if you think it's in the best interest of the site. Keeping the deciders group smaller could help you be more agile. As long as you're accomplishing your other goals like sincerely listening to feedback and not taking offense to productive criticism, you'll earn the trust of the community. So I guess I'm voting to not have a vote 😂

Well, we want to be guided by the userbase - we're not going to summarily dismiss a suggestion out of hand, constructive criticism is not just welcomed, it's desired!

We're undoubtedly going to make slip-ups or implement something that will upset a minority, but we'll always TRY HARD to do the best we can.
