It would be neat to take the circuit in the OP and make an Apple II to Neo Geo adapter. Neo Geo joysticks are just simple common ground button arrays. It could allow things like using an UnDamned PS3/360 controller decoders or virtually any console controller or arcade stick for which a neo geo adapter exists.
