When removing the battery holder, the negative side via completely came out. On either side of the board there is no visible trace of where it goes to put a trace repair or wire. I assume it’s inside the board so i can’t do much with it. Is there a contact point somewhere on the board I can run a wire to will connect it?

Can you provide top and bottom photos?

Personally I’d fill it with solder. Does it work just fine right now? Battery isn’t all that important on a classic ii so I wouldn’t worry about it too too much.

Don’t know. i Have a new holder to install and it won’t hold solder. I tried. I am sure negative has to go to ground somewhere why I asking about a wire run to another connecting point.

Should be able to just run it to ground I’d say tap into a SCSI ground pin

So on the internal scsi connector says all odd pins are ground? Just want to confirm to be sure? Is there a closer location you would suggest so I not need to run a long wire on board underside?

Usually bottom row of SCSI is ground, one sec
