I've got a Classic II here that's had both the LB and AB recapped. Also replaced QP1, TDA4605, DP3 and DP4. I get happy chime and then the cursor comes up, but it never tries to boot from anything. Not the HDD, not the floppy, nor any external SCSI device (BlueSCSI, SCSI2SD). The cursor responds to mouse movements, so it's definitely alive at that point...

I'm thinking maybe the SCC (U8), but would that cause it to also not boot from a floppy? I unplugged the internal HDD and it still wouldn't boot from the floppy..

It's a weird circumstance that I've not come across before (myself, or from reading). Guess i'll try replacing U8 (after I actually find a replacement) and see if that rectifies the situation.
