Greetings!

I have a wonderfully acrid smelling beige G3 with all sorts of plastics decaying into dust that has also enjoyed a battery detonation. Its the detonation that leaves me with a few missing components and a lack of wisdom as to how to find out what they were. I know some are capacitors that will come with my recap kit however some appear to be resistors.

Is there a talented and wise person out there who has the knowledge of what the missing components are?

I love recapping and getting these old macs together but I have never ventured this deep yet... But I want to... I want to know!

Welcome!

I don't think you mentioned if you had a desktop or tower. I have a desktop model with a different motherboard part number.

But all the components seem to have the same labels on the silkscreen. No component at S1.

And no markings on the tiny caps.

Ahh very true! I have the desktop model and not the tower.

Thanks for the images! That is quite helpful. Now I just need to research values or find another board from which to measure.

The bomb also damaged the Raytheon VRM module but those components are still present to figure out.
