Everyone names their computers, I'm sure everyone also has a lot of computers. They're like pets in a way, sometimes their name is just what's on the faceplate, sometimes it's named after a characteristic of the machine that was seen later. So, what are some of the names of your favorite or least favorite machines?

I have a Powermac 6360 chassis with a 6500 logic board in it, and it has everything. G3 upgrade card, Voodoo2, Comslot 2 Ethernet, the only thing it's missing is that little Video out board. It's one of my favorite systems, because it's garbage on steroids, named PerformaX. 2000's edge.

I also have a G3 beige mini tower, also with a bunch of crazy. 500Mhz G4 upgrade, Radeon 7000 PCI, as well as an OrangePC 660 PCFx card in it, named Titan. Titan because it's an absolute monster for doing anything in its age range, even on the Windows side with the PC Card. As long as it's in the MacOS9 and Windows 98 area, this machine just destroys it. It has OSX 10.2 but it's not good.

Obviously if you look at my avatar, my G4 Rubik's Cube! My iMac 27" 2011 with Xeon processor and upgraded Radeon 4GB video card, I simply call BigMac. I have a Xeon E5-2696 18C/36T in a hackintosh with an R9 Nano that I call "MacPro Jr." because it is a mini-itx in a hand built case and water cooled.

I've typically named my custom-built machines after things from video games, like my 10900K build is *Hyperion*, after one of the flagship battlecruisers in StarCraft, and this machine I'm on I've named *Nocturne* after the homeworld of the Salamanders in Warhammer 40K. Everything else typically gets a name involving model name or OS if it's a testbox or something for a specific purpose. My old Sumuri Talino DFIR machine is named *Tortellini*, derived from Talino.

My 2011 MBP is named SnackBookPro, and the awful 2018 MBP is named the CrapBookPro.
