Hey all, I heard about this book from a list of recommended tech-reading, it's called Defying Gravity. Any of yall read this? I'm only about 30 pages in now, but it's a blessedly-of-its-time book from the writing to the photos to the graphic design. The whole book is in color and it's like the early 90s are jumping right off the page and shouting in your face hahaha.
Interestingly, from the introduction of the book, it only covers everything up to around the finalization or release of Newton. Despite this, the book is so excited to tell you all about how Newton will REVOLUTIONIZE the WORLD!! Which, it may have actually done? It just may have taken a while for Apple to eventually work up to the iPhone yknow.
I only wish there were more photos of the technology itself in the book! So far it's mostly been photos of the people involved in the development of Newton stuff, which is interesting in its own right still. Cool book so far if you haven't seen it yet!
