For the past three years, I’ve had a 2002 OptiPlex GX260 small form factor that opens like a clamshell. The previous owner replaced the motherboard and PSU with brand-new ones from eBay after some capacitors started leaking, following years of use by a physical therapist. It still has the original 2002 OEM Dell 15" UltraSharp LCD display at 1024x768, which looks as good as the panel on my Pismo/400. I’ve since installed a 128MB NVIDIA GeForce FX5200 in the AGP 4x slot. Currently, it has a faulty Buffalo Wireless 330LX? 802.11b/g 54Mbps PCI card, and I’m unsure what type of gigabit Ethernet card to use in its place since I use it to transfer games and apps to my OG Xbox via FileZilla over FTP. The built-in gigabit Ethernet port is already connected to a Netgear 802.11n Wi-Fi-to-Ethernet adapter for web browsing via Protoweb.

Yanno I’ve never seen one of these in the wild. I Always wanted to find one so I could see exactly how the clamshell functioned. It’s like they all went straight from offices to recycling lol … at least around my parts :)
