Hey Everyone,
I just picked up a iMac G3 DV in beautiful condition with the mouse and keyboard. All in the matching Grape Color. There's a few small issues I'd like to fix, currently the one I'm hoping to find out is, does anyone make replacement skates for the bottom of the puck mouse? Both are missing from mine. I'm tempted to buy a cheap teal one and steal the skate pads of that one, but before I do that, figured I'd ask if anyone knew.

Thanks in advance everyone!
~John

So, you need to replace those parts shaded in green on this mouse, correct? Can you show us picture of bottom of your mouse?

Okay. Since there is recess for both areas where the skate pads stick to, you can easily attach piece of Teflon there that you trim to fit.

Use exact or utility knife to trim to the shape of the recesses. One way is to create an outline, print, and then follow the outline to trim to that shape.

Can you measure the diameter (in millimeters) of the bottom of the mouse from side to side for me, please? I can then create the outline and post here.

@JohnnyPhantom, I am almost done with the outline you can use to print, cut out with scissors (or exacto blade), and then tape on the Teflon sheet you buy, such as the one from Amazon I shared the link to in the above post. Finally, you cut out the shape with the exacto or a precision craft art cutting tool and then apply the adhesive side to the recessed areas on the bottom of the mouse. :)

Diameter in millimeters, please? :D

That’s amazing. I should be able to measure it on Monday (left my digital caliber at work with my 3D printer) I would also love something similar for the bottom of my G4 cubes factory speaker, missing the anti skid/vibration dampening ring from the bottom of one of the speakers

Okay! :) (y) I will look forward to the diameter measurement. And, I'd be happy to help you with the bottom of the speaker.
