A gentleman asked if we wanted some old Macs. Here's what showed up (along with some Commodore breadboxes).

Yowza. Break out the capacitors and soldering irons for those SE/30s, though.

The Monitor /// makes me sad because mine was stolen out of my storage unit in a burglary. The actual Apple /// itself was probably too heavy for them to lift, fortunately.

@ScutBoy Notified a friend of mine who lives in St. Paul. He may drop by to buy one of the SE machines. Has been wanting one for a few months, once he saw a photo I sent of mine. Apparently, one of his family members had one for a few years, but got rid of it instead of passing it onto him.

It will be a bit before these are triaged and ready for sale. I'll try and update here, or they may also show up on the FGTC online store. You can find that at Freegeektwincities.org.

We went through the first batch of SE machines today. Four went into the retail store at $75 each. None are perfect; all boot, but either had no SCSI drive to begin with, or the failed one was romoved, maybe the floppies need clean/lube. Nothing too serious. There were also a couple of battery bomb victims were the HDs were removed, and then put out as "as-is" prices for $10.

There remains a couple more SEs that need some work, and then a batch of Mac Plus machines and some 512K and 512KE machines. Those might not make it out until after Thanksgiving. Depends on what volunteers are able to work on them.

Awesome to see. I keep thinking that we are eventually going to run out of vintage machines to pass out... but then hauls like this show up.

I stopped by on Sunday with a donation of a couple of PC's and receivers, and left with three of the SE machines that had non working floppy / SCSI drives to be parted out for a reloaded SE project ...the one with the sticker on the screen was one of them :)....Such a cool store I will be back for more Retro Mac goodies :)

It was great to meet you and help you grab the project machines - and I hope that extra RAM comes in useful :)
