Edited posts should be marked ‘edited’

I just created a post and edited it shortly after. It doesn’t look like it says ‘edited’ anywhere. It’d probably be good to have edited posts clearly marked as such.

That's a curious one. I just edited one of my own posts and it came up as "last edited:..."

Does this reply show as edited for you @Elemenoh? Ignore that, it's not showing as edited for me either. I'll investigate.

Okay, I know what the cause is. The system allows a period of grace after the initial message post to edit the message without giving an "edited" message. So if you make an edit within 5 minutes of the original post, it will not be flagged as "edited". Any longer than 5 minutes and it will be flagged.

I think that 5 min window is ok (IMO) - I have many times posted and had silly typos that I ninjaedit.
