Found an interesting 128k..

Looks like it had a backyard voltage conversion from 110 to 240 by adding a transformer inside it.. also the floppy and the motherboard cable are much longer than usual. And it has a pattern of holes drilled into the side of the case (maybe had a Mac Charlie?)
It was in a scrap pile and covered in dirt but I grabbed it as it has a “Macintosh” badge vs “Macintosh 128k”. This is/was Serial F4201R7M0001

Interesting. The hole pattern doesn't match the placement of the screws that hold the two halves of a MacCharlie together, and even if they did, directly screwing a MacCharlie to the side using the existing holes seems impractical (screws would have to go through from the inside of the Mac's bucket, through the side panel of the MacCharlie, and into the threaded inserts in the other half of the MacCharlie. I suppose those holes could have been for some kind of intermediate mounting method, but the MacCharlie (which is also pretty heavy) already came with a tray that it snaps into to "attach" it to the Mac, so why not just use that?

Based on the countersinking on those holes, and what look like marks from countersunk washers on some of the lower holes, it looks like the screws or bolts went in from the outside. Given that, and the "backyard" nature of the zip-tied voltage conversion, I wonder if those holes were actually for mounting something to the inside of the Mac's bucket. Maybe a plywood sheet or something to then mount other components to?
