The #FujiNet project began as a WiFi modem adapter for the Atari 8 Bit line of computers. It quickly grew into a super peripheral emulator for the system with the ability to emulate disk drives, modems, printers, cassette and a new network device. The network device offloads the heavy network duties to the FujiNets builtin ESP32 and provides the Atari easy access to many protocols (even SSL/TLS) through simple SIO bus commands.

We quickly realized this functionality would be useful for other platforms and have started work on C64 and Coleco Adam support. The end goal is to get as many 8 bit machines access to the modern internet. Imagine cross platform gaming, Commodore vs Atari, Apple vs Coleco ;) The entire project is open source software and hardware which is available in our Github organization. If you would like to get FujiNet running on your system and/or are willing to help out, get in touch with us. We can use both hardware and software support.
