I recently picked up a G3 All In One which seems to be in fairly decent condition. It boots and chimes, but has some weird display issues. The display area is off center maybe about an inch to the right. I've seen similar issues with eMacs and iMac G3s, but the solution seems to be different depending on the type of computer. What should I try?
In addition, I hear an occasional crackling sound when I power on the machine, and it seems like the screen rate is very slow. I suspect this is the flyback transformer, but I'm not 100% sure, or knowledgeable on how to test said transformer. I've found a source for these transformers, but I'd like to be as certain as I can as to the cause of the issue before I spend the money on one.
