I have a Macintosh IIci with an Astec Power Supply. During my last livestream, someone asked me if the power supply had the "infamous" daughter board... to which I had to answer yes. I think they mentioned it was due to the op amp on the board... or was it an optoisolator? I was trying to solder and read the chat!

Since that daughterboard has some ICs on it, I thought it might be a good idea to order replacements when I order capacitors, as it might be the infamous one. However, of the 8-pin ICs on the board, one appears to have a proprietary marking on the board, and I haven't been able to clearly read the marking on the other.

I vaguely remember someone (maybe Bruce?) mentioning that some folks have figured out that there are generic parts for some of these proprietary chips. Somewhere there is a list. I cannot find the list anywhere, so I thought that maybe we should capture these generic cross-references in a safe place.

That and I'm trying to beat the #MARCHintosh deadline, so I'm trying to do things in parallel to make sure I place my Mouser order before their cut-off. I only want to pay for two-day shipping once. :)

And yes, I'll take the power supply to work, as there's a Mantis in one of the labs that might help me read that one chip.

In my IIci power supply, the mystery chip is simply labeled “0600” with a date code of “9011J”. There’s no manufacturers name or mark on the chip.
