Has anyone tried the Green or Amber conversion on a Macintosh Classic?

Like the title, I saw this video. And I just searched the forums and found @jcm-1 did it here.

Although I would not do this to a //c monitor, I did recently find an old 1984 IBM 8088 clone for cheap. I haven't powered it on yet to verify the tube is working, but from searching the internet, it appears to be a 9" green screen. The one I found was a Sperry SP1 T3097-00, or clones of the Corona Data System Cordata Portable, also listed as an Olivetti M18. No floppy drives included, nor keyboard or mouse, bottom case missing. So I don't think I will try to restore the machine, I purchased it primarily as a spare 9" tube.
