Hi - new member saying hello
My first computer was a Z80 Apple II variant that cross-botted CPM, and then when I was about 10, I had 3 paper routes so that I could buy a Mac 512E. I upgraded it to 2MB of RAM so that I could run Lightspeed C, which was tbh beyond my ability to use at the time. Got lost trying to ingest all of the Inside Macintosh volumes.
My current project is a Quadra 840av that has a BlueSCSI v2 that I am planning to install a Atto Silicon Express 4 wide scsi adapter and try to boot from the new Ultra-Wide BlueSCSI. It has a 17in Colorsync monitor that eventually needs service - occasionally glitchs, so I am going to be looking around for schematics. I have a second colorsync monitor that I may end up running in a dual monitor setup, and adding a S-VHS player or the like for some vintage video capture and editing.
I also have a late G5 dual core that's running Sorbet Leopard and Tiger, with a cross-flashed Quadro 4500FX driving an Apple Cinema 30 display. I also have a G4 Mac Mini with 9.2.2 and 10.5, and 10.4 on it at the moment. Can't seem to keep OS9 from messing up the MorpOS partition recognition.
Non-mac stuff includes a Thinkpad T60 that I am trying to sort a issue with MX Linux crashing, but it runs XP and 7 just fine. I have an old Supermicro X9 server running TrueNAS that I am going to move to a lower-energy pc tower build with a i3-12100 and am planning to get Frigate running for my home PoE cameras.
