It's nice to be on a traditional forum again. I recently purchased a 2009 Macbook Pro and a 2012 Macbook Pro. Waiting for them to arrive from the eBay seller. I also have two 'Compact Macs' (Can't remember, I think a Plus and an SE/30) in my garage that I bought years ago, but don't actually have peripherals for. Oh, and two iPod Classics I hope to eventually return from the dead.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to using my Macbook Pro(s) like it's 2009 ~ 2012, and it seems fitting to be back on a forum - they weren't quite dead just yet by then.

Hope there are a few regulars here!

PS: I'm really excited to have a Macbook Pro 2009 and 2012 in my possession soon! Not machines I could afford at the time, and now I have them for like $200 (AUD)! Not too shabby.

Edit: Also, purchased one more.. On a bit of a Macbook Pro semi-vintage kick. Purchased a 2008 Macbook Pro!

Welcome to TD I have an 08 aluminum MB and 09 MBP which I still DD (typing this on). The 08 I have El Cap on it and this 09 I run MX25. I enjoy them both thoroughly.

Hello! Thanks for the welcome. My mac's arrived from eBay and I was surprised and impressed by just how usable the 2012 MBP is! The 2008 and 2009 I am playing with currently. It's kind of cool owning these now... When it released it was well over $2500, I got it for under $100 (AUD)! The 2008 is in the best condition of the lot, which has made me take a liking to it (Plus its 15").
