[HELP] Test the forum upgrade

[eric]

We are at the end of a long planned forum upgrade. Once done I'll make a post about all the cool things it'll get us on the infrastructure side.

Before then we need you to help poke around and test - https://staging.tinkerdifferent.com/

Latest xenforo. Email is off. It's a temp instance so nothing posted will stay.

If you find an issue please provide the URL/screen shot/expectation here.

If you find a security or other concern please DM it to me.

Thanks for your help!

little mail icon

[nilobject]

online/status icon missing from avatar on posts

[nilobject]

search:
keyword: no results found for newer posts. eg. if i search for #ev3 it returns no results
user: works fine

[nilobject]

attaching image to a profile post just posts the name of the file

[eric]

please also validate if it worked the same way here on the live site - ev3 is too short to search - min is 4 char's for a search term iirc.

file attachments on posts:
click "Attach files" then cancel the file chooser, then "Attach files" again. it opens a file browser but redirects the page to:

and ignores whatever files you chose in the dialog.
works correctly on live.

Think all should be resolved now, thanks for digging in.

Hey, @eric … are you still looking for some testing on the server?

I’m seeing a “Cloudflare Tunnel error” right now.

[eric]

I took it down this morning, we'll get the rest of the polish after we do the prod deployment

Cool.
