How bad is this analog board? Mac SE/30

Howdy everyone,

I recently picked up a Mac SE/30 locally in my town, and when turning it on, I get a 1" inch wide screen running from top to bottom. I ordered new cap kits for the motherboard, PSU, and analog board. But I'm worried the analog board might be toast; there's lots of black residue all over the board and inside the Mac.

The analog board looks like it may be ok, but that flyback transformer looks like it has a lot of soot on it, which means it was well used.

Is that a crack where the arrow is pointing, is that completely separated?

EDIT: Page 161 in the Dead Mac Scrolls describes the vertical line condition you're seeing. How are the solder joints for the yoke board connector?

Can you get some pictures of the back side of the analog board?

Curious to see if the solder joints on P1 are cracked; that could cause the problem you're having - according to the Dead Mac Scrolls attached above.

If the raster is 1 inch wide rather than a thin line, horizontal deflection coil connection should be ok. There's high voltage so horizontal output stage should also be working..

I'd check everything between the horizontal output transistor and the deflection coil, especially the non-polarized capacitor at C15, when they start to fail horizontal width will reduce.

Here are a few photos of the analog board's back side. I finished the recap and am waiting to finish up the Sony PSU before retesting.

Let me know if you spot something...
