Greetings fellow Vintage Mac Enthusiasts.
For those who are currently involved with or have completed a IIci Reloaded build, I seek your help and assistance. With great thanks to @max1zzz [and others], bringing us this wonderful board, I have not found a solid BOM/build plan yet. To have the greatest success at an endeavor of this sort, having all of the best information at ones fingertips is essential.
The idea for a build sheet came from @JDW's SE Reloaded series that he published out on YouTube. With direction from @Kai Robinson and a BOM sheet that he provided to JDW, there was a clear and concise build plan, so that vital steps were not missed throughout the process. I took JDW's BOM he provided in the video series [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QhHpDew4saFxvt82W2TkdpnNA2W7tLZhe53Et64gpdY/edit?usp=sharing] and went one step further...creating a build plan, along with a BOM sheet for sourcing parts in a way that flowed along with the video series [just laid out differently]. A copy of that BOM is available for viewing [https://www.icloud.com/numbers/09cFZzMWX8VZ2nH-8BlBuYMlA].
That said...I'm seeking to find out the following:
1. What new parts can be sourced and from where? [DB15 connector, power switch, sound out, etc]
2. What parts were found only as new/old stock and from where?
3. What parts [apart from many of the obvious] need to come from the donor board?
4. For some SMD parts [such as the .9A fuses] what are the voltage specs?
5. Are there Mouser, DigiKey carts or supplier lists that can be shared?
6. What is a preferred build order? In the SE Reloaded build series, passive components came first, then sockets and IC's and then other connectors.
7. What are any gotcha's or good things to know while involved in this build?
8. What, if any, are the known unknowns?
To make collaboration between all of those who choose to contribute a bit easier, I'm sharing the sheet I started using iCloud Numbers. For anyone who wants to contribute, feel free to add additional sheets with your own notes, tables of detail or any great stuff that can help others succeed with this build. Please do not change the first sheet with the main BOM/Build Plan sheet...just add to it.
If there are any questions, feel free to drop a comment in this thread or PM me directly.
I look forward to working with folks to help put a really rock-solid plan together.
Many thanks in advance for your time and consideration of participating in this endeavor.
