iMac to Headless Mac

I have a late 2012 27" iMac with screen retention issue.
I would like to remove all the internal parts and with them create a sort of iMac mini.
I couldn't find any info on this online, apparently no one attempted to do something like that.
Do you thinks this is possible?

It's not too hard to fix this issue. Apple decided to use a plastic bar to support the spring force of the hinge, and to no one's surprise it frequently breaks. The person in this guide used a metal plate. When I did mine a few years back, I just found a couple large washers to support the ends of the springs. Not too bad of a job!

Follow the ifixt instructions to tear down the imac. You will have to dismantle the fan, mainboard and power supply to reach the broken hinges.

Sorry, I not described the problem properly, is image retention issue.

There are some temperature sensors that will possibly throw errors if you try running just the logic board alone. This might cause the computer to throttle its performance. I bet there is a way around this with OpenCore Legacy Patcher.
