At the risk that someone will swoop in and grab it all, I'm curious if anyone is interested in large portions of this collection: https://www.facebook.com/share/1M11kxNCyf/

The asking price is $50k which is a bit of a reach. In my head I think something less than half of that is where it starts to make sense considering it would require renting a truck, processing/cleaning everything, storing, etc.

I'm interested in 15-25% of the items and am local to the seller. He is open to selling larger groups of items, but I am thinking there is more bargaining power in just coming in and saying a dollar amount and his entire "problem" is solved.

I've been a collector for 30 years. Had a Mac museum. House was filled with Apple products and displays for years. Time has come to move on. I don't have the space anymore or as much interest as I once did. Bills to pay and life changes mean it's all gotta go.

There is some pretty rare and collectable stuff in here. Not just because they are old and long retired, but personal ties to Apple Computers direct. Also included is an Apple monitor from Rob Janoff himself! The man who created the original Apple logo!

Another ultra rare piece is the working NeXT Cube! Steve Job's predecessor to the Mac Pro's and OSX. With monitor, keyboard, mouse and tons of programs, software, owners manuals, programing books and more.

This collection has something from just about every decade of Apple history from 1984 to 2018.

- every color, flavors, of iMac's including strawberry, lime, tangerine, grape and blueberry
- The two rare special edition iMac's - Dalmatian and Flower Power
- every color of the clamshell iBooks including lime, blueberry, tangerine and graphite
- iMac flat panel, desk lamp, iMac's including the 15" and 21" with speakers, keyboards and mouse
- vintage classic Macintosh computers like the 512, Macintosh Plus and more
- Mac Mini's
- Mac Pro's
- Macintosh Performa
- Power Macintosh G3
- Power Mac G4 - QuickSilver, Mirror Drive Doors, FW 800 Blue & White editions
- PowerMac G4 - Cube
- Power Mac G5
- Macintosh PowerBooks - 100, Duo, 520
- PowerBook G3
- Power Book G4
- Xserve - server
- RARE - Macintosh Portable with carrying case
- Apple Newton eMate
- Apple monitors both green and color
- many original boxes for computers and accessories including iMac's, Classic Mac's and more

Plus loads of software, including original installer CD's, Mac OSX, floppy disk installers, games and more

I worked for Apple for a time and accumulated lots of worker shirts and swag as well, also included.

Lots of parts, accessories, RAM, modules, Motherboards and more also included.

It's all stored in a storage garage facility currently. There is power and lights in the room so you can plug in a try anything out if you want.

Everything was working before packed up and put in storage over last summer.

This is an all for one sale. Perfect for a museum, private collector, reseller or dealer.

Check out the photos and list below. Feel free to ask any questions or pitch an offer.

Originally all these items cost $105,000 just for the computers. Used market is still hot for these items. Current value based on 2025 ebay sales, not asking prices is at $22,050. And that's not including the parts, accessories, service manuals, boxes etc. Open to an offer on it all.

Here is a list of all the big and major things like CPU's: Not included is all the parts, accessories, marketing promo items, boxes or swag.

That pile isn't worth $5,000... let alone $50,000.

Anything that hasn't been restored already is worth the amount an eWaste place would charge to haul it off.

I get that. The thing driving it up for me is the NeXT stuff and, maybe, I've never seen a good deal on so I assume it's worth what I see them posted at. Whereas I know that a yellowed, scratched-up SE isn't worth $600. Plus, there is the overhead of moving everything and the risk of plastic damage in transport. The value quickly reduces the more you look at it, even though there are some gems.

Maybe that's the real answer. A good majority of the items effectively have a value of $0 when they're sold as a lot (or negative, as he's paying to have it hauled away).

Having to buy a bunch of bad machines at a premium price is a bad deal no matter how you work it.

Save your money, get to VCFMW in 2026 - and buy a NeXT machine there.

You'll literally save thousands.

I don't think the list price is actually 50k. He even states the ebay prices add up to $22k. As others have said, it's probably worth more in the $5-8k range, to the right buyer. But it would be someone willing to put in the work to sell each item individually. Because looking at his "used price", I'd say he's overestimating the price by 100% or so. But the whole lot could take in $10k if sold over time. But it would be a massive amount of work, and assuming his non-machine items could also be sold.

As someone who has a much larger collection (although I'm jealous of his Cube), who just listed ~70 items on FB marketplace to get my collection under control, I understand his desire to sell as a package. But if he would individually, he would sell the high demand items quick, and then be left with a bunch of the less desirable machines that would certainly never sell at his prices.
