The big ones are felt or some kind of dense foam?
Foam, cheap stuff you buy at any department store. Manually punched a hole.
It did work, but the outer diameter, even after fitting and stretching, was a tad too big. So, one per each roller wouldn’t fit.
That’s why I used the rubber grommet for the second roller. And two rubber rollers didn’t have enough grip on the ribbon.
So, eventually a mix did somehow the job. To an extend, though, surely I did not print the entire ribbon for checking the reliability of the solution.
Anyhow, I also tried the ”miracle WD40“ fix for rejuvenating the dried up ink. That one worked, too, but I don’t recommend it at all. It’s an extremely dirty solution and the printing is, in fact, “greasy”.
Better to use real ink.
