I'm a longtime lurker at this forum and this is my first post. I would like to thank the community, all the posts here have been incredibly helpfull to me.

I'm building a JASONDOESITALL adapter for my 17" ADC studio CRT (the clear acrilic one). I have all of the components so it's time to order the PCB itself.

On the jlcpcb website I can choose between 1 oz. copper and 2 oz. copper. The 2 oz. Copper is almost 10 times more expensive.

Does anyone know if 1.oz is sufficient for this adapter?

Are you sure about the 28V? The power adapter that gets recommend is 24Volts and 5 ampere.

Also, what should I enter in the temperature rise field. I'm completely new to this.

I don't know about the CRT model, but all the LCD models work fine at 24v. I haven't seen actual 28v come out of any of my G4 tower ADC connectors.

I built a few of these and never had much luck with them. I did put one together and sent it to another user on this forum who was able to get it mostly working on a Windows machine, including things like degaussing the CRT. There is some ambiguity in the instructions and I feel like I assembled 3 of these and each one was different. Might be nice to put together a guide to make it clear how to make a working adapter.

IIRC the ADC CRT is fixed frequency. It’s complicated to use with anything that is not a Mac, unless you can control precisely the frequencies that your video card can output (especially during the boot sequence).
