I just did a "reorder" of my 2021 order on JLCPCB of the boards in question.

The price of the boards was about the same at ~$50, plus a smidgeon.

Last time, the shipping was $3...

This time shipping is about $40 with another $18 in tariffs and about $8 in taxes. Total ended up at $120 on $50 of boards...

Ah well...

Probably should have checked 4PCB/ADvanced, which is domestic, but clicking the "reorder" button and not worrying about properly naming and zipping up the gerber files was just too easy.

Yep I just ordered 5 unassembled boards last night from JLC. Board total was $10.50 Final total with DHL shipping $60.

global standard was 3 times less but I was worried about getttig hit with $30.00 tarif on arrival after waiting a month for slow shipping. It’s a lose lose either way :(

Thank mango mussolini for tariffs... Remember, they're the greatest ever. People will respect a man who wields tariffs...

And boards arrived on my doorstep today. Today is Wednesday, unless I am very confused (easy to lose track of day of week after retirement) and I ordered early Thursday morning. So less than one week from order to delivery (in Texas) for this reorder.

There were a couple of emails with their engineer, as they seem to be defaulting to plugged vias now, and my gerbers showed untented, or some such. I told them to go ahead and plug. It makes probing (and rework) more difficult, but reduces chances of shorts next to solder pads. Or so I interpret it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

My last order that just arrived yesterday was through JLCPCB unpopulated. Looks like they are a better option that PCBWAY for that case. I payed the triple amount DhL shipping so they got here in 3 days.

I was able to pay the 3 times less expensive slower global standard shipping but I was worried that I would still get zinged for tarrifs at the door on arrival.
