The day Linux becomes illegal will probably be the day I give up on computers altogether.
Except for my ancient playthings, of course. Unless someone tries passing a law banning them, they are completely immune to all this nonsense.
That said, since the PDA is sort of a Progressive Democrat project, that video probably represents little more than far right fear mongering (the graphic of Trump is a dead giveaway to that effect, at least to me).
It does nevertheless raise some interesting questions, however: how does one force something (an OS, computer, or other software) to comply with the PDA if said something is FOSS and thus doesn't answer to shareholders or the government? How is it going to be implemented? Will it be optional? What will happen if a user tries to bypass it? Will they be fined?
This has some really worrisome "1984" possibilities.
