So .. while I can do soldering and repair - Ive damaged a few pads on the motherboard and that's beyond my level of skills to correct.

I need a motherboard re-capped and 2 pads repaired to complete the re-capping process. I also need a LC style power supplyly re-capped.

Preferably, I would prefer to work with some one who works on classic macintoshes (Pre G3 PowerPC era)

Please respond with factual leads .. Im more concerned with reliability of repairs overall.

Thanks in advance,
Mike.

Would help to know where you're based - due to tarriffs putting the kibosh on international shipping right now, makes sense to recommend services as local as possible.

So a few weeks (Months!) later and I have my Performa 460 and a Performa 475 (LC475) properly recapped and trace repaired by Garrett ! He's not only a good Tinker different member, but a very good repair tech. He was thorough , and a fast turn around in helping me fix my 'repairs' I had started.. I highly recommend him if you find yourself in needing repairs that go above your pay grade ability or just want it done right from the beginning.

It's been a couple months now, but if I recall, the LCIII required me to drill through the via connected to the missing pad, and run a wire through to solder to the birdseed component on the bottom. The remaining repairs I was able to slide the cap over just enough to solder to the ground plane (negative side of the cap) and not have to run any wires. This is my preferred method as it leaves the cap more secure than any bodge wire/glue would. I hope this explanation makes sense!

Is it cool if I PM you to discuss a recap of my Performa 450 board and PSU?
