I bought a fixer upper IIsi from the VCF East swap meet in June. Had been recapped already but was missing any RAM expansion, the floppy drive is dead, and it had no hard drive. I’ve since maxed out the RAM, bought and assembled a BlueSCSI V2 for it, and verified the BlueSCSI worked on my 7100. It receives no power when plugged to the IIsi. I’m assuming based on that that I need to use the mini molex power plug on this one? Bus power must not be enough, right? I’ve tested the internal SCSI with my PiSCSI hooked up with external power and it does work.
I’m honestly shocked the IIsi boots at all, I see so many traces that look bad but I guess they can’t be. The only issue I’ve found is that soft power only works sometimes, which to my knowledge is likely an issue with the dreaded vertical board in the power supply.
