Hey there, so I’m having some issues with my power Mac G5 quad with it not having the fan spin because when I do power it on it does seem to spin and all that for just a sec, but then he doesn’t want to spin anymore I tried to run the Apple diagnostic software and they told me it was an intake fan issues so I went on eBay and got a new intake fan, but it seems like that didn’t work either and I’ve tried troubleshooting this the best that acknowledge that I can and there’s no sensor issues either and the inside of the water cooling is completely dry and clean can anybody give me any suggestions on troubleshooting this thank you

There are 3 different water cooling configurations. @HrutkayMods has a lot of videos on the G5 series.
He doesn’t have one. I’m looking for because I’m having an issue with the G5. Just the fans are just not working because when I use my regular fan, the force air into the system and exhausted. It seems to do its job. It’s just for some reason it’ll only just receive power Like the fan will spin for like a second and then it would just turn off and never turned back on again is it a power supply issue? That’s when I’m just trying to figure out.

There are typically 7 fans in a G5 tower (more info from house of moth):
  • Drive Bay Fan
  • Motherboard cooler fan (top side behind the Drive bay fan)
  • PCI bay fan
  • dual intake
  • dual exhaust
Which fans are working and which are not?
