I spotted a fascinating little gadget in a post to the Vintage Apple Macintosh Enthusiasts Facebook group in April this year. I sent a PM to one of the co-creators, Joakim Larsson , and that led us down the rabbit hole of conversations which resulted in me buying one and then doing the full video REVIEW shown below. Great for diagnosing power issues on various vintage Macs, even if your not savvy in electronics. No need to even open the Mac's housing, in many cases, which is fantastic.

Your review heped me decide to go buy one of these. Superb fior helping build condition reports for customers ahead of providing them with repair quotes!
Very glad to hear my review helped you.

I should mention that CayMac Vintage web store is down until Sept. 10th (2025), and sadly, the way Ko-Fi works is that web pages seem to go offline when the store is down. But Will Jacobs told me he would be back in Cayman on Sept. 10th and the store (and Mac-O-Meter) will become available again at that time.

I love the Mac-O-Meter and think it is one of those must-have tools we all need right alongside a soldering iron.

That is great news, I've been meaning to pick one of these up, seems like a great diagnosis tool, one less chance of shorting something out while poking around with the computer powered on.

I think the price CayMac is charging is very fair and hobbyist-friendly.

I built a triple voltmeter using inexpensive meters from Amazon and a floppy connector from eBay. The biggest expense was the floppy connector. The total expense (including wire and 3d filament) was roughly the same as for CayMac’s much more elegant design.
