Mac OS 8.1 on SE/30, and RaSCSI Daynaport

I put 8.1 on my SE/30, which runs fairly well! However, I haven't been able to install the drivers for my RaSCSI's Daynaport emulation. It says the folder "Network" cannot be modified by the installer, and the Garden page for the drivers only mentions it being compatible with System 6/7. I'm assuming I'm out of luck, but just to check - has anyone gotten the Daynaport drivers working on OS 8?

As a side note - is it even worth my time getting OS 8 set up on an SE/30? The biggest thing I like about it so far is that I can copy files in Finder while doing other things, and I haven't noticed it being *too* slow, but I was curious if others feel like 7.5 is a better choice for the SE/30. Thanks!

Yeah tl;dr on this is that I got the Daynaport drivers to work but just using a custom installation, and Speed Doubler lets me do Finder operations in the background on System 7. After trying both, even though I have 128MB of RAM, 8 is quite a bit slower than 7.5, so I'll probably stick with 7.5 for most things.

I’ve encountered the same problem, and haven’t quite figured out how to resolve it.
