Macintosh 128k/512k/Plus 240V Analog Board Recap List

Here is a list of all the capacitors needed for recapping the 630-0108 240v analog board for the Mac 128k, Mac 512k, and Mac Plus. This analog board can run on either 120v or 240v. It will operate on 120v if wire W12 is in place, and in 240v if wire W12 is removed.

These are the highest quality parts currently in stock w/ Mouser. The list is mostly based off JDW's 120v recap video as there is a lot of overlap in parts with the 120v analog board.

Please note that there is no one correct replacement. For example, instead of UPW1V222MHD6, choosing UBT1V222MHD would be a higher quality replacement, but it's currently not in stock. I've listed the rating of the original parts so that you can select a substitute in case something is out of stock. Keep in mind the diameter and lead spacing when ordering outside this provided list.

The three axial capacitors (C5, C10, & C18) are obsolete and no longer produced now, you can use a matching radial capacitor instead.

Attaching images of two boards with original capacitors for reference. Please ping me if you have any suggestions to this list and I will update.

Oh funny I made a similar post at almost the same time. I was considering sharing my Digikey cart, but as you mention availability changes so often. I opted for adding the physical specs instead so someone in the future could find whatever usable options are at the time.

I'll update mine to indicate it's for 630-0102 (the 120V version).

Hello Andy,

Thank you so much for this list!
I am recapping a Plus and I think there is a typo in the list. C11 is listed as 10uF 16V but it should be 10uf 160V - the Mouser link also points to a 160V one.

I hope this helps and thanks again!

Hi, can anyone confirm de correct position of C31? .
I did a recap and it blows of at the first start... checking the board the + is marked over the GND track. That wouldexplain my mistake but the picture posted by the OP shows it soldered tha way.. in my pictureyou can see through the track behind matching (-) to the bigger C30.
This is a Macintosh Plus "international" at 240v.
Thanks...

Ok answering myself. Chequed the schematics and it'son the -12v rail... probably I checked with a tester GND coincidence when soldering and mssplaced it myself.. hope this was for learning
