Is it possible to get VGA video out from a stock IIsi? I’ve tried a DB15 to VGA adapter on multiple LCD monitors without success.

What’s the trick here? Alternatively, I have a RGBtoHDMI; maybe this is a better option?

You can get VGA out of a IIsi, but some DB15 converters won't work. None of the ones with no DIP switches would work for me. The only one I've gotten to work is a Griffin MacPnP. IIRC, you configure the switches for "plug and play" and it works. They come up on eBay occasionally.

the ones without dipswitches are usually wired for multisync which doesn't work on all Macs. Just get a VGA adapter with the dipswitches instead of playing with unknown variables.

Thank you everyone, I used Alex Labs DB-15 to VGA adapter and after toying with a few different monitors I got this to work.
