Making a crutch for a 23" Studio Display

I have the other end of this problem (hinge replacement). My hinge is fine, but my acrylic kickstand is broken.

Not much left to hold on to

I removed the excess to make room for a metal shim so the screws can hold on tightly.

I used some flat sheet aluminum and a bench vise to bend it. I utilized a piece of pipe similar in diameter to get a curve to match the kickstand.

These are the parts required:

Assembling the top and bottom plate with a screw through the center hole to hold them in place

I have mismatched screw heads and lengths

And locking nuts on the bottom

Very nice repair. That aluminum bent really well around that pipe. It makes me wonder if you could have made a replacement leg outright of the aluminum vs salvaging the plastics.
