log.txt still says you're on the April release. Also could you just try 1 image to rule out any interference/software with the other images. (And yes i know the pain of re-opening powerbooks, my 165 LCD contrast went out and I re-opened it 100 times)

Yeah I tried a single image, same issue, I tried switching to 7.5.3 as well. I think I am going to pass on the firmware update because it will require me to open the machine all the way up again. i've got it cracked open JUST enough to get to the SD card with tweezers.
I really dont see how the size of an image would have an impact (as far as the BlueSCSI is concerned) - any way you could zip up the big image and send it to me? (can DM me for email) I can just take a quick peak at the file/structure/etc to ensure it's a good HFS device image.
