You're running Windows beyond Vista? You miss being able to set the MIDI mapper output like we used to nearly 17 years ago? If you can't, you're stuck with the software rendering of MIDI that is by default accessed with Windows Media Player. That's fine for a quick and dirty approximation.
But what if you have some fine vintage MIDI gear? You probably have a hankering to use it with a usb midi interface. You must set the midi out to your interface, but Windows no longer offers you a way in the control panel. IN COMES a 2009 C# little utility that works on my Windows 11 machine in May of 2024.
