I wrote one year ago somewhere:
Having some issue with internet, service provider came, change the underground cable and the router.
The new SPECTRUM Wifi 6 SAX1V1S (SAGEMCOM FAST 5285) has much more powerful WiFi signal BUT
Is not compatible with PowerPC G4 and G5.
Actually, found the solution, this an issue with IPv6.
To avoid computer freezing after 20 seconds, with a wired connection (cannot connect with WiFi due to protocol reasons),
just turn IPv6 off in the network setting, "Et Voilà", computer run for hours.
Tested with
  1. PowerMac G4 (Tiger)
  2. PowerMac G5 (Leopard)
  3. PowerMac G5 (Sorbet Leopard 10.5.9)

That's why I don't use routers provided by the ISP, my Netgear Orbi router works fine with old and new stuff, wired or wireless, with IPv6 enabled, for hours on end
