I am proud owner of the Chevelle Malibu Classic, but there was a time when we both with my wife were driving something V8 motorized.
An El Camino from '76 (280HP) and the Chevelle from '77 (180HP)

Do you drive something vintage?

PS: for daily I'm using an electric vehicle, a Hyundai Kona Electric (204HP). Previously was a Hyundai i30 Fastback N Performance (275PH)

This Is my 1989Y Porsche 930 Turbo, I did restmod it myself. She is only my treasure except my family.
My restores and mods were featured in Porsche Magazine over 10 pages. The first pic is that.

It's 5am here and I just woke the baby screaming in amazement!
Such a beauty! Had a black Boxter S for a period 3 years ago but work and family plans demanded something... "practical" so hello Ford Focus Hatchback.

There are some beautiful rides here! I've been driving vintage cars since high school. I do own a modern car, a '16 Rav4, which replaced my '06 Audi A3 (fell apart thanks to the Florida heat and sun). The Rav4 is mostly driven by my partner or when I need a car with really good AC.

My daily, 1973 VW Westfalia Campmobile/Bus. Rebuilt it a few years ago, rebuilt the engine summer '20, installed solar panels this year. Constantly working on it. It's rusty (working on that) and ratty, loaded with fiberglass and bondo, but fun to drive, great for long trips. Just got the AC working again.

My fun car, 1987/88 Pontiac Tojan convertible. Behind it is my '62 Chevy Impala (my college car and upcoming restoration project). Have had both the Tojan and Impala since high school.

Currently I'm patching the rust on my '74 Mercedes 240D, after too many years in storage (this is supposed to be satin black, not faded gray). Former daily driver, current prepping it for a replacement engine so it can be a daily again.

The last from my rust collection, Buddy the '72 Beetle. Bought it off a friend, not much left besides a good engine and transmission, but it runs and drives, fun for quick trip around the yard or up the street and back.

Very nice!
ROM-inator Resurrections is now on sale, but this is another resurrection. This was an even grander plan that took seven years, but required more technology than modifying the Mac. I made it almost myself. Of course, I also borrowed the help of a friend. It is controlled by the latest ECU called Link G4 instead of the old K-Jetronics, and can be set by connecting to a laptop via USB.
The turbocharger is custom made with the large compression side of the motorboat, resulting in this old 930 at 600Hps. 1989, the same generation as the SE/30. But this is higher horsepower than the 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 RS. This is also the difference between a computer and a car. Currently there is an exhaust leak from the 3rd header and it makes a pretty crappy noise, but I'll fix it soon... Now I'm busy with many Mac projectso_O

Wangan Midnight "BlackBird"! 😵
Black Bard is actually my friend P-car. That is the beginning of attached pic, and it is a real car that actually appeared as Black Bird in a Japanese V-cinema movie. He has been driving for over 30 years since his new car and is still racing.
The Wangan Mid-night is actually similar to our life story. It's a story of me and my friends gathering in Wangan every weekend, but the actual manga feels colder. We just had a feast🤘

We used to drive Wangan about 13 years ago, but now I have a bad eye and can't speed up that much.IMG_4443.jpg

I think Im going to sell the 300D. It currently lives in my garage eating up my workshop space. Im driving the truck 99% of the time these days, so it is hard to justify it just sitting around, insurance, registration etc. especially when the space is needed for my power tools. Has been a great car however. The MB was my Mom's she had bought in 1990 and the truck is my grandpas who bought it new, in 96 so both are "family cars" and hold sentimental value in that regard.

1982 Volvo 242 Turbo. Bought it from a friend's brother in 2016 for $500. Been fixing it up ever since. Mechanically, it's pretty much where I want it. Cosmetically, needs some rust repair being that it was a NY car for many years before heading west to Washington state. Also needs paint, especially on the hood, which came from a 242GT. Not my first Volvo, of course. First car was a 1981 242DL that I bought for $200 from someone in Seattle in early 1997, just after I'd turned 21.
