So, I'm playing around with the G4 MDD. I'm coming across some odd little problems-
1) After getting the PSU back from repair and installing it in the G4, I booted it up once or twice-then didn't touch it for a week. When I booted the G4 up later, I got a blank screen. After doing some reading, I hit the PMU reset button on the motherboard. That worked...but then after shut-down I would get a blank screen after booting up once more and after shutting down I hit the PMU reset button again. It resolved the problem, but it would come back once more after shut-down. This sequence of events happened a couple of more times-then stopped for good. I suppose the G4 "stabilized", because it's booting normally now.
2) Whenever I plug a flash drive in, I get the spinning beach ball. I can't view files on the flash drive. This happens in OSX mode (10.4; I can also boot the machine up in OS 9.2). I can't figure out why it keeps doing that. I was able to view flash drives before.
Any thoughts? Not sure if I should hit the PMU button again or not. BTW-the PRAM battery (1/2 AA) is good; I installed it myself around 2011, and it still holds a charge of 3.54 volts.
