Powerbook 100

I think technically my first Mac was a Powerbook 100 I got at a fire sale, but was stolen out of my bag a couple of months later. I miss the darn thing, which has some unique features that no other Mac has used (like the ability to boot from RAM with only 8 megabytes total). Anyone else ever lived with a Powerbook 100?

I got one back in '99 or so, it was my very first powerbook, and I absolutely loved it. I used Finale to transcribe music with it. I used it until the screen died and then I got a 520c with a PPC upgrade. At the time I had no idea how to repair it so I sold it for parts.
Nowadays I *do* know how to repair this stuff and I already repaired a couple. I still love these little machines, and I regularly use one to develop 68k stuff with Think C.

Yes indeed. The PowerBook 100 is a miniaturized Mac Portable with a few improvements in the power management circuitry. Lead acid primary battery for the win.
