Just a quick thread to see if anyone has had any luck in finding substitute floppy drives that would work in the bay adapter/caddy for the 1400CS?
As my original drive the disk clamp and other parts of the drive were rattling around inside the drive and has destroyed the heads (see attached photo for the gore and destruction at own risk).
Have some older PowerBook 160/180 drives which electrically work however the ejection motor is external and they are slightly too wide to use.
Annoyingly this one does not have the CD option either so having a working floppy drive would be ideal for getting data onto it quickly when I don't have my CF to PC Card adapter free (or handy).
Any leads or suggestions are welcome!
