PowerBook 5xx clutch cover clips

Has anyone designed 3D printed replacements for these? I’m going to be fixing a couple of 500 series hinges but this cover isn’t going to stay put like this.

Should be as simple as designing a part to clue onto the curved bit of the plastic but I would know how to measure the curve to do it myself.

I must have about 7 of those damn things all missing the clips. Literally the weakest piece on a blackbird.

I can imagine. Unfortunately, despite this being the most problematic piece, I have searched quite a bit and never found any models for printing.

I have used the clips in the first link on my 540 but ActionRetro made the clips in the second link later on and made a video about it on his channel

You've appeared to post the same link for both, both being the front bezel clips that Action Retro made (That I don't have any current issues with). If you've actually found a template than I will thank you for eternity!

Edit: FOUND IT! I've seen this one before, but always missed that it also had clutch cover clips!

PowerBook 500 series hinge fix + center cover clip by gregorhouse

This is a fix I made for my PowerBook 540c, that had broken hinge threads on the case.I printed it in ABS 100% infill, but I think the stronger the better, so if you have PET go with it.I wrote a thread on 68kmla forum about it, I cipy the text and the link below.I corrected the display board...

Ah I did indeed - I updated the link on the first one. It comes with both the hinge fix and the clips.

I will note for anyone who's come across this thread in the future: The hinge fix part itself made by gregorhouse has an error in it - it should have cut-outs for 2 structural bits in the display housing, but doesn't. Sean made a corrected one here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4858800
